ABOUTBeatriz Bagulho is an illustrator and animator, born in Lisbon, 1997.
Communicating through drawing and animation, she translates concepts, stories and observations into visual universes. In a constant search for how to exteriorize her conscious and subconscious thoughts, Beatriz is dedicated to a great variety of disciplines: scenography (such as in Lisboa em Voo de Peixe, A Menina do Mar, and Do Outro Lado da Toca presented at Centro Cultural de Belém, Kiki Van Beethoven presented at Teatro Meridional, A Grande Floresta by Teatro do Mar), editorial design and illustration (A Bayadere, published by Companhia Nacional de Bailado, A Cidade, published by CCB and Imprensa Nacional, Mulheres Nascidas de um Nome and Homens Sem Nome, from Livros Horizonte, and A Menina do Mar, published by Valentim de Carvalho), drawing exhibitions, graphic design and animation cinema. Beatriz studied Animation (BA) at University of the West of England. Her two short films Corporealitis and (In)Dividual have been presented and awarded at various international film festivals.
